Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable

In today's daily sprout I talk about the importance of pushing ourselves into states of discomfort more frequently. We can get very comfortable with routine, and the conveniences of life today. And as a result, when real challenge or adversity comes along, we can struggle to handle it. We are adaptive creatures and this applies to stress and life challenges. So, getting out of our comfort zones more frequently and in a variety of ways can be really valuable in keeping us on our toes, flexible and responsive to those less pleasant and more troublesome challenges in life and work.
Watch today's video and reflect on how you can stretch and challenge yourself, it might be a physical fitness challenge. It might be doing something that might give you a sense of fear or anxiety - like saying 'no' to someone or putting yourself in an unusual social situation. What can you do today to practice being uncomfortable?
